Classic Beef Lasagna
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground Beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can(28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tamato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 9 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, and cook until onion is softened.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
- In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, layer cooked lasagna noodles, meat sauce, ricotta cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers, ending with a layer of meat sauce on top.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top layer.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
