Classic Beef Lasagna

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, and cook until onion is softened.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, layer cooked lasagna noodles, meat sauce, ricotta cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers, ending with a layer of meat sauce on top.
  5. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top layer.
  6. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  7. Let lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
